Power and Light Committee
Approved a contract with IES Utilities Inc., relative to purchase of electric capacity and energy.
Accepted bids on an annual contract for water maintenance supplies.
Accepted Brooks Associates' bid on lime feeder for water plant.
Accepted property deeded to the city by Obermann & Son Inc.
Reappointed Carl Talley to serve as city representative on the board of directors of the Cape Girardeau Area Industrial Recruitment Association for one year beginning Jan. 1.
Street Committee
Revised the composition and procedures of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Alderman David Hitt and Mayor Paul Sander stepped down from the Zoning Commission due to possible conflict of interest.
Appointed Tom Anderson to a full four-year term and Janice Unger to fill an unexpired term on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Accepted bid for $59,647 from Lakenan Insurance Agency for annual insurance coverage for liability, public officials errors and omissions, automobile liability and comprehensive and inland marine.
Accepted mayor's appointment of Ken McManaman as the municipal judge of the 32nd Judicial Circuit.
Accepted quit claim deed signed by Orchard Investments Inc., granting easement for ingress and egress at the Interstate 55 water tower.
Accepted the audit report for the year ended Dec. 31, 1993, prepared by Hendrix, Schwab, Garner, Schermann & Co., P.C., C.P.A.
Decided to have Hendrix, Schwab, Garner, Schermann & Co., conduct 1994 audit.
Rejected a special use permit submitted by Kenneth L. and Norma N. Waldron at 417 N. High St.
Approved the special use permit submitted by Stonewall Enterprise Inc. at 529 W. Main St.
Established pay rates for mayor and board of aldermen. The changes will be effective as aldermen are elected or re-elected.
Adopted permanent pay plan for city employees.
Adopted specific pay plan for employees of 1995.
Canceled Dec. 27, 1994, work session meeting.
