Power and Light Committee

"--" Approved the Semi-Annual Financial Statement ending June 30, 1996 and to publish it in the local newspaper.

"--" Set the date of the annual City Christmas Party for Dec. 13.

"--" Instructed the city engineer to complete contract documents and acquire necessary easements for the completion of Phase I of the water and sewer extension plans.

Street Committee

"--" Approved resolution proposing the improvement of Gloria Street.

"--" Approved resolution proposing the improvement of Independence Street between Forest Street and Hubble Creek, Forest Street between Olive Street and Independence Street and Olive Street between Greensferry Road and Forest Street.

"--" Authorized the inclusion of engineering costs in total project costs.

"--" Amended the "Stop Street" schedule relating to the intersections of Woodland Drive and Shawnee Boulevard and East Main Street and Shawnee Boulevard.

"--" Amended the "Stop Street" schedule to include new stop street designations on Sappington Drive, Deerwood Drive, Oakwood Drive, Jennifer Drive, Orchard Drive, Aspen Drive, Alpine Drive, Bristol Drive and Berkley Drive.

"--" Approved a special use permit for the storage of petroleum products in an I-2 district, as submitted by W.D. Harris of MFA Oil, Inc.

"--" Authorized the mayor to execute a general warranty deed transferring real estate to the Jackson Industrial Development Corp.

"--" Approved a contractual agreement with ASA Asphalt, Inc., in the amount of $68,694.16 for the 1996 Asphalt Street Improvement Plan.
