Passed ordinance amending the residency requirements of full time employees which allows employees to live outside of the city limits.

Passed ordinance designating the assistant city attorney to assume city collector duties.

Passed ordinances relating to utility billing.

Amended code of ordinances relating to taxation, collection, utility and other billing and collection procedures.

Passed an ordinance approving voluntary annexation of property owned by Jan and Stacy Mansfield.

Passed an ordinance approving voluntary annexation of property owned by Earl Norman and Bobby Barks.

Authorized the city administrator, in conjunction with city attorney's office, to prepare an informational brochure on the sewer-water bond issue.

Street Committee

Revised an ordinance relating to refuse and solid waste management.

Authorized the advertisement for bids on the improvement of Emma Street.

Authorized the payment of $6,628.36 to Penzel Construction Co., Inc., for the Recycling Center office construction and building repair contract.

Authorized the application for the State of Missouri 1997 Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program.

Set the spring Clean up/Fix Up Week for May 5 through May 9.

Approved the inclusion of Lacey Street and Oak Hill Road as collector streets to the major street plan.

Authorized a public hearing for May 19 at 7:30 p.m. to consider the request for a Special Use Permit for the operation of a day care center in a C-2 (General Commercial) district.

Authorized the application for the Department of Natural Resources Financial Assistance Program for Waste Tire Playground-Running Track Materials Demonstration Project.

Accepted portions of Goodson Drive and Annette Lane in Sunset Hills Subdivision Unit No. 4 as public streets and the water and sewer systems serving those lots along those streets.

Accepted the sewer system serving lots in Litz Brothers No. 6 Subdivision.
