Power and Light committee

Accepted a petition for voluntary annexation for Pioneer Subdivision Unit No. 2 and set a public hearing for 7:30 p.m. on august 18.

Accepted a water line easement from the county Court on Bainbridge Road.

Street committee

Authorized a payment of $9,910.49 to Lappe Cement Finishing, Inc. for the Independence Street pavement repairs due to a water main break and storm damage bridge repair. Concrete will be increased from 6" to 7" for prolonged maintenance.

Passed a special use permit for the establishment and operation of a self-storage facility in a C-2 (General Commercial) district on Lot #1 of Sanders Subdivision Unit N. 1 as submitted by J.J. & R. Sander Real Estate, L.L.C.

Passed an ordinance restricting parking to the east side of Ridge Road.

Changed the next regular council meeting from Monday, Sept. 1 to Tuesday, Sept. 2 due to the Labor Day holiday.

Authorized a contractual agreement with Chris N. Weiss granting an option for the purchase of property for industrial or commercial development.

Accepted a low bid of $80,000 for Fronabarger Concreters, Inc. for the Highway 61/Route D realignment project.

Authorized a contractual agreement with Fronabarger Concreters, Inc., relative to the Highway 61/Route D realignment project.
