A new men's-wear store has opened in West Park Mall.
J. Riggings, owned by Edison Brothers Stores Inc. headquartered in St. Louis, opened Wednesday in a 2,200-square-foot space along the Famous Barr corridor.
"We're a traditional men's-wear specialty store," said Anna Marie Wolfe, manager of the business. "We have a variety of merchandise; we have suits, sports coats, shirts, knits, shoes and other accessories."
Wolfe, who has been with the company a year and a half, comes to Cape Girardeau from the Columbia J. Riggings store, where she was assistant manager.
The new store employs eight people and will maintain the mall hours of 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sundays.
Riggings, which was founded in 1987, is a division of the Edison Brothers group, which includes three divisions apparel, footwear, and entertainment stores.
Riggings has more than 350 stores. Also in the men's apparel line of Edison Brothers with Riggings are Webster/Zeidler & Zeidler; Oaktree; JW/Jeans West; and Coda and Repp Ltd. Women's apparel shops in the group include 5-7-9 Shops, Spirale and Joan Bari.
Edison Brothers Stores Inc. includes more than 1,700 apparel stores, more than 800 footwear stores, and over 125 entertainment centers.
