CAPE GIRARDEAU -- The annual spring musical at Notre Dame High School will be "Into the Woods."
The play will be performed April 11-14 at the high school.
"Into the Woods" was the 1988 Tony Award winner for best book and best score. It was written by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. The play features an ensemble cast of 22.
Lead players include Jeff Maurer as Baker, Debbie Jansen as Baker's wife, Sally Iten as the witch, Lori Maurer as Cinderella, Robert Dodson as Cinderella's prince, Matt Strohmeyer as Jack, Paula Welker as Little Red Riding Hood, and Andy Lynch as the wolf.
Cindy King will direct the play and Dina Strickert is the musical director. Danna Westrich, a senior, will serve as assistant director and Lenny Kuper is the rehearsal pianist.
