Interstate 55 in Scott County reduced for pavement work

Northbound Interstate 55 from Highway 77 at Benton, Mo., to Route K at Scott City will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction while contractor crews underseal the pavement. Weather permitting, the work will be done Tuesday through Sept. 10, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. From Sept. 12 and through Nov. 15, the contractor will switch to the hours of 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorist are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.
