Do your children need health coverage? They may be eligible for MC+ for Kids if they meet the following requirements: Younger than 19, have been uninsured for six months or more, and your family's income must be within the eligibility guidelines.
The maximum monthly family incomes are: Two in the household, $2,813; three in the household, $3,538; four in the household, $4,263; five in the household, $4,988.
One or both parents can work full time, and children may still qualify for MC+.
MC+ is Missouri's health insurance program for children younger than 19, some parents and pregnant women.
To apply, contact East Missouri Action Agency at (573) 238-4220 or 1 (888) 629-0899 to obtain an application. You can pick up applications at the offices of Division of Family Services or the Bollinger County Health Department.
Applications must be completed, with proof of income attached, and sent to MC+ Service Center 130 S. Frederick, Cape Girardeau, MO 63702-0578.
If you are having trouble finding a doctor or dentist who accepts the MC+ insurance, a list is being compiled by East Missouri Action Agency, and will be available in February.
