INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY TEACHER NAMED

MARBLE HILL -- Bruce Slinkard, formerly of Marble Hill, was recently named Missouri Industrial Technology Outstanding Teacher of the Year for the Southeast district.

Slinkard has taught industrial technology for 20 years at Farmington R-7 School District.

The Farmington school district recently reconstructed and redesigned its industrial technology lab under Slinkard's direction to incorporate a new concept of modular instruction. He will present his ideas at the Missouri Vocational Association state conference in July.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Slinkard of Marble Hill. He and his wife, Clara, have one son and reside in Farmington.
