INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (AP) -- At least two people are dead and three firefighters are injured after a house fire in Independence.
The unidentified victims were trapped inside the house during the Monday morning blaze. Independence Assistant Fire Chief Dave Sellars said firefighters do not know if anyone else was inside.
The fire department received the call around 5:50 a.m. and fought the blaze for more than an hour. Sellars said the firefighters
