JACKSON -- Board of Education incumbents Jack H. Knowlan Jr. and Larry Koenig each won a fourth term on the school board Tuesday.

Jackson voters faced just two races in Tuesday's election.

In the school district election, Koenig was the top vote-getter with 2,657 votes. Knowlan received 2,328 votes. Challenger Ken Callis received 1,846 votes.

In the only contested aldermanic race, Fred Leimer edged out Rodney Ladreiter, 252 to 219.

Leimer takes over the aldermanic seat from LeRoy Brown, who will retire.

Jackson Ward 1 Alderman David Ludwig, Ward 2 Alderman David Reiminger and Ward 3 Alderman Glenn Oldham were all unopposed for re-election.

Leimer is a co-owner and operator of Leimer and Wessell Construction Co.

Koenig is the former Jackson police chief is now personnel director and officer manager for the city of Jackson.

Knowlan is the chief administrative law judge with the Division of Workmen's Compensation.
