IN NEW POSITION

John V. Johnston has been named director of restaurant services for the Holiday Inn at Cape Girardeau.

Johnston will be responsible for the hotel's restaurant, Victoria's, which is owned and operated by MidAmerica Hotels Corporation.

MidAmerica Hotels also owns and operates the Victorian Inn of Cape Girardeau, the Holiday Inns at I-55 and Butler Hill Road in St. Louis, and 18 Burger King operations in four states, including those in Cape Girardeau, Jackson, and Scott City.

Johnston was most recently general manager of the Victorian Inn at Cape Girardeau. He has been with the corporation since August of 1986, and has worked in various positions including porter, guest services representative, guest service manager and manger on duty at the Holiday Inn.

He is a native of Scott City and is currently attending Southeast Missouri State University.
