McNutt, who comes to Missouri from Oklahoma where he served as Southwest district rural Development specialist for Oklahoma State University Cooperative Extension, will provide program and administrative leadership in a 16-county area.

He is a graduate Oklahoma state with a bachelor's degree in agricultural education; has a master's degree in secondary education from East Central Oklahoma state, and a Ph.D in agricultural education from Oklahoma state in 1986.

McNutt and his wife, Jessie, have a son, Christopher, 14.
