PLEADED GUILTY
Name: David E. Koeller
Age: 26
Residence: Jackson
Charge: A felony count of being a felon in possession of a firearm
Sentencing: Set for May 14. He faces up to life in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Summary: Koeller was stopped by a Missouri State Highway Patrol officer in Cape Girardeau County on July 8. He told the officer he had a firearm under his seat. The officer found and seized a Hi-Point 9mm pistol, which was previously reported stolen. Koeller said he had obtained it earlier. Because of previous convictions, Koeller is prohibited from possessing firearms.
