PLEADED GUILTY

Name: Robert Q. Woods

Age: 24

Residence: Cape Girardeau

Charge: One felony count of distributing cocaine, one felony count of distribution of five grams or more of cocaine and one felony count of manufacturing cocaine.

Sentencing: Set for July 20. He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine for count one and up to 40 years in prison and a $2 million fine on counts two and three, respectively.

Summary: On August 19, 2009, Woods sold cocaine to a confidential informant in Cape Girardeau On August 25, 2009, Woods agreed to sell the confidential informant 10.5 grams of cocaine base and delivered 7.2 grams to the confidential informant in exchange for $500. Woods stated that he needed to "cook up" the rest. Woods proceeded to "cook" a quantity of powder cocaine into more than five grams of cocaine. The manufacturing process was recorded on a video recording device which had been secreted in the confidential informant's residence by law enforcement agents.
