The Illinois State Police will begin conducting more nighttime enforcement patrols in Massac County, Ill., in November, according to a news release by Captain Thomas Stehly. These nighttime patrols are designed to keep roads safe by taking dangerous DUI offenders off the road and to ensure all vehicle occupants are buckled up. The Illinois State Police has zero tolerance for impaired drivers. Officers working nighttime enforcement patrols will be watchful for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license and transporting open alcoholic beverages. This project is funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety. For more information, www.isp.state.il.us.
