JONESBORO, Ill. -- A Cobden, Ill., man pleaded guilty in court Tuesday to one count of reckless homicide in the March traffic crash on Interstate 57 that resulted in the death of an Anna, Ill., man. Daniel J. Bible, 27, made the plea to the felony that could draw a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, according to a news release from Union County State's Attorney Tyler R. Edmonds. Sentencing has been set for Sept. 20 before Presiding Judge Mark Boie. Bible was indicted by a Union County grand jury in April following the March 23 traffic collision. He was taken into custody on April 15 in Marion by Marion Police and Illinois State Police. He is currently being held at the Jackson County Jail on $150,000 bond. Charges were filed following an investigation by the Illinois State Police, Union County state's attorney's office and the Union County coroner's office.
