I-55 ramp in Pemiscot County to close

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The northbound ramp on Interstate 55 at exit 19 in Pemiscot County will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. Wednesday for pavement repairs. It will reopen at 7 p.m. During the closure, the ramp will receive a three-inch asphalt overlay. Message boards and alternate route signage will be used to reroute motorists. The suggested detour route will be to use exit 14 at Route U to Route D (former County Road 337) to Highway 84 near Caruthersville, Mo. Drivers are urged to use caution near the work area.
