BLOOMSDALE, Mo. -- Southbound Interstate 55 in Ste. Genevieve County at Bloomsdale will be reduced to one lane with a 16-foot width restriction as construction on the new weigh station continues. The contractor will be working on the monitoring poles along the edge of the roadway. This section is between Routes OO/DD and Route Y, the old Bloomsdale rest area. Weather permitting, the work will begin at 6:30 a.m. today and will be completed by 5 p.m. Friday. The work zone will be marked with signs and warning devices. Motorist may expect reduced speeds and are urged to use caution while traveling through the work zone.
