SIKESTON, Mo. -- As contractors set the beams for the new Route H overpass south of Blodgett, Mo., Interstate 55 will be closed from exit 80 at Benton, Mo., to exit 69 Miner, Mo., traffic will be detoured to U.S. 61 until 9 p.m. today. As traffic is detoured, there will be a potential for delays. Local residents should consider using other alternate routes if possible. Completion of the Route H overpass is anticipated in mid-August. Signs and warning devices will be in place.
