With the help of the Sikeston Fraternal Order of Eagles 3319 the hospital was awarded a $17,383 grant will be used for diabetes care and special projects for diabetic school-aged children and their families.

Hansen of the Grand Aerie Fraternal Order of Eagles in Milwaukee was actively involved with the Eagles' diabetes fund and diabetes education and research for many years. He died June 9. Through the Hansen fund, diabetes projects are funded throughout the country.
