Michael Davis, 48, was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in Thursday's killing of Carol Bledsoe at the century-old Christ Church Cathedral, where the 64-year-old victim had worked for nearly four years.

Police on Friday said they knew little about Davis, who was arrested shortly after Bledsoe was stabbed once in the neck about 1:30 p.m. Thursday in a church hallway after she stepped from her office to investigate a disturbance.
