The Historic Home Tour sponsored by the Greater Cape Girardeau Historical Association will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sept. 14. The tour will consist of three historic private homes and the Alliance Building, a National Register of Historic Places designee. In addition, guided tours of the Reynolds House and Old Lorimier Cemetery will be provided. Refreshments will be served at the Glenn House. Tickets, which are available at any of the sites, are a $10 donation...

-- The Michael and Rebecca Richey home, 125 S. Spanish St.

-- The Timothy and Loretta Dodd home, 319 N. Middle St.

-- The Alliance Building, southwest corner of Spanish and Independence.

John Bry, a graduate of the Southeast Missouri State University Historic Preservation Program who is director of commerce and development for the city of Flora, Ill., will conduct a walking tour of Old Lorimier Cemetery.

The unrestored Reynolds House, which dates to 1857, is rarely open for tours.
