Holiday Turkey Drive successful once again

Big River Telephone, Schnucks, The Salvation Army, Mix 96.5, B 97.9 and Soft Rock 104.7 teamed together for another Holiday Turkey Drive. The drive is designed to help families in need during the holidays. The Turkey Drive began Nov. 1 and ended Dec. 20. The Holiday Turkey Drive donations helped purchase turkeys for meals and baskets that were given to those who were less fortunate during the holidays. Major Ben Stillwell of The Salvation Army reported that they served 993 meals over the Thanksgiving holiday and were able to provide 933 families with food baskets for Christmas.
