Leah Jansky will present a program on "Celebrating Speech with Saws" Monday at Grace United Methodist Church, Broadway and Caruthers.
The program, which starts at 1:30 p.m., is free and open to the public. It is hosted by the American Association of Retired Persons, and funded by Missouri Humanities Council and National Endowment for the Humanities.
Jansky, professor of humanities at Maryville University in St. Louis, will discuss local sayings (saws) which display the richness of American speech.
