The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is soliciting comments on a proposed railroad crossings project.

The commission is considering a proposal to improve existing railroad crossings in Perry, New Madrid, Scott and Pemiscot counties in or near McBride, Marston, Matthews, Sikeston and Hayti.

A document showing the proposed improvements at each location may be found at modot.org/eMoDOTWeb/displayAttachment.do?id=1069. Deadline for submitting comments on the projects is Sept. 7. Comments may be submitted to rail safety specialist Larry Scheperle at 573-526-4239 or via mail at Multimodal Operations, Missouri Department of Transportation, 830 MoDOT Drive, P.O. Box 270, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0270.
