SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has awarded a $2,635,212 contract to Apex Paving Co. of Cape Girardeau for pavement improvements in Bollinger, Cape Girardeau and Stoddard counties. The project includes resurfacing and adding shoulders on Route OO from Highway 34 to Route Z near Burfordville, as well as resurfacing and adding rumble strips on Route Z from Route F to Highway 25 in Gordonville. The project also includes resurfacing and adding shoulders and rumble strips on Route C from Highway 51 to Highway 91 near Advance, Mo. Weather permitting, construction is expected to start this spring.
