SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a contract Wednesday for improvements on Highway 25 in Stoddard County. The $2,137,298 contract went to Magruder Paving LLC of Troy, Mo. The project includes resurfacing about 18 miles of Highway 25 in Stoddard County. Improvements will extend from north of Route U to Highway 53 near Holcomb, Mo. Weather permitting, work could begin this spring, with completion anticipated by winter 2011.
