Highway 177 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane today while Missouri Department of Transportation crews patch the northbound and southbound lanes. Located between County Road 643 and County Road 657, this section of the roadway was damaged during the recent flooding. The stretch of road was closed to traffic for several days recently due to floodwaters over the road, and has been open to one lane only since.

Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane from noon to 5 p.m. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling in the area.
