The Tax Increment Financing Commission of Cape Girardeau is asking for input on a proposed redevelopment plan.

A public hearing will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Osage Centre, 1625 N. Kingshighway.

The plan relates to the downtown Tax Increment Financing District in Cape Girardeau and outlines possible projects to be pursued within the district's boundaries. The area covers about 233 acres, bounded by Sloan Creek and Highway 74 to the north and south and by the Mississippi River and Sprigg Street to the east and west.

Five redevelopment project areas are included in the district and a redevelopment project is described for each. All five project areas and redevelopment projects will be discussed at the hearing.

Members of the public and representatives of all taxing districts affected by the plan are invited to attend.
