Students pursuing careers in various medical fields are eligible to apply for one of 11 healthcare scholarships that will be awarded this summer by the Saint Francis Medical Center Auxiliary.
The scholarships, which have been endowed by a number of individuals and the Saint Francis Foundation, are awarded on the basis of a number of factors including financial need and the willingness of each recipient to work at least one full year on a full- or part-time basis as a healthcare professional at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Since the early 1980s when the scholarship program began, the Saint Francis Auxiliary has awarded more than $70,000 worth of educational grants to students enrolled in various healthcare training curriculums.
This year's scholarships are available to students who will be enrolled in healthcare studies during the 1995-96 academic year. The deadline for submitting scholarship applications is Monday, June 5.
