St. Francis Medical Center will offer a three-hour course on CPR and responding to obstructed airway emergencies in infants and children starting at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9. The course follows American Heart Association guidelines. Fee is $15.
As part of its Children's Health Series, St. Francis will also offer a two-hour free program, "Compassion Fatigue: The Stress of Caring Too Much" from 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 18 to help parents and child care providers recognize the symptoms and offer ways to treat or prevent the problem. The program is free of charge, but space is limited and registration is suggested.
Both programs will be offered at St. Francis's Center for Health and Rehabilitation, 28 S. Mount Auburn Rd. For more information on either program, call 339-6970.
