The vaccinations will be given to anyone 6 months old and older, according to health center director Charlotte Craig.

The clinic will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Osage Community Centre.

"It's early enough, it's still important enough," Craig said, encouraging residents to take advantage of the clinic. The flu season runs from October through March, and the vaccination takes about two weeks to take effect, she said.

The center has given about 4,000 vaccinations this season, Craig said, calling the extra doses that have been freed up by suppliers a "gift."
