Students pursuing careers in various medical fields are eligible to apply for one of 10 health care scholarships to be awarded this summer by St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary.
The scholarships, which have been endowed by a number of individuals and the St. Francis Foundation, are awarded on the basis of a number of factors including financial need and the willingness of each recipient to work at least one full year on a full- or part-time basis as a health care professional at St. Francis Medical Center.
Since the early 1980s, when the scholarship program began, the St. Francis Auxiliary has awarded more than $60,000 in educational grants. This year's scholarships are available to students who will be enrolled in health care studies during the 1994-95 academic year. The deadline for submitting scholarship applications is June 6.
