Aerith Kopp, 5, of Cape Girardeau has fun in the sand digging for treasure, making a flower and making a birthday cake near the Red Star boat access ramp Wednesday afternoon. Kopp visits the area about twice a week with her grandmother Kathy Ullman and her boyfriend Steve Dillingham. The Mississippi River was at 33.18 feet Wednesday, according to Army Corps of Engineers, and is expected to go down over the next few days. Flood stage at Cape Girardeau is 32 feet.
