Hard year for three families

After her divorce, Mom has been stuck with paying off all the bills. Another Mom is back in school while her husband, who is out of work, takes care of their daughter. A third Mom gets no child support for her three children and works part-time while the children are in school. There is no extra money for Christmas. What do these parents have in common? They simply request books and art supplies for their children to learn and play. Like the 1,200 children ages 1-12, being served locally by Toybox this year you can help make a meaningful Christmas! Mrs. T is a small woman with poor eyesight. She receives a small Social Security check. She fixes simple meals for herself and her brother. She isn't expecting anything for Christmas. These few items would be most welcomed: bathrobe and sleeping gowns, size small, house dresses size small, comfortable shoes size 5 1/2, gloves small, kitchen towels, sheets and comforter full size. This would make her Christmas truly bright! You can help Mrs. T and other needy elderly people in our area, by buying these needed items, including personal grooming and cleaning supplies, grocery gift cards and delivering to The Southeast Missourian.
