Two Internet hands-on training sessions will be held today, sponsored by the Southeast Missourian.
One begins at 10 a.m. and a second starts at 7 p.m. in the A+ Lab. All those who signed up for the class received letters of confirmation. A $5 fee will be collected at the door.
Individuals who can't attend the training today should contact the newspaper at 335-6611 as soon as possible. A growing waiting list exists for individuals who would like to attend hands-on training sessions.
In addition, the Southeast Missourian will sponsor a free one-hour overview lecture on the Internet Thursday night.
It will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Vocational Technical School in the upstairs multi-use room. There is no charge, but individuals are encouraged to register by calling 335-6611.
A question-and-answer session will follow the slide show. Staff members of SEMissourian.com, the official web site of the Southeast Missourian, will lead the program.
The June 17 hands-on training sessions are also filled, but programs will be scheduled in the near future.
For more information, or to be placed on the waiting list, call Joni Adams at 335-6611.
