U.S. ARMY NATIONAL GUARD

Sp/4 Hahn, of Chaffee, was employed at Havco Wood Products in Cape Girardeau before his National Guard Unit was activated Nov. 17.

He is a member of the 1221st Transporation Company of Dexter. The company arrived in Saudi Arabia Jan. 7.

Hahn, the son of Adolph and Rella Hahn of Chaffee, graduated from Chaffee High School in 1968. In 1970, he was drafted into the Army and served for two years.

In 1978, he joined the National Guard. He drives a 20-wheel tractor trailer truck. His father said he has made one trip close to he Kuwaiti border, and his company is moving to a base about 15 miles from the border.

Hahn saw a Patriot Missile intercept the first Scud missile launched in Saudi Arabia. "He said it was thrilling, but he's ready to come home," said his father.
