1Lt. Bonney is the son of Donald and Darlene Bonney of Jackson. He is the brother of Mark and Kevin Bonney and Cindy Lichtenegger.
He graduated from Jackson High School in 1984, and went on to graduate from Southeast Missouri State University in May, 1988.
In college, he was a memer of the Air Force ROTC, and was commissioned into the Air Force as a Second Lieutenant upon graduation.
He is an Air Weapons Control Officer, and before being deployed to Saudi Arabia, he was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Okla.
