Airman Apprentice William D. Kiefer is the son of the late John and Ellen Kiefer of Chaffee.
He graduated from Kelly High School in 1988, and enlisted in the Navy in July, 1989.
He was deployed to the Persian Gulf for Operation Desert Storm in October.
He is aboard the USS Midway.
