Groups to pick up Cape trash Saturday

The Social Work Club of Southeast Missouri State University and Neighborhood Connections will hold Clean Up Cape Day from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Those interested in picking up trash should meet in the parking lot of the Fountain House at Themis and Fountain streets. The groups intend to cover most of South Fountain Street, Independence Street, Frederick Street, Sprigg Street and Broadway. The routes will depend on the amount of support they receive. Trash bags, gloves and maps, as well as snacks and water, will be provided.
