A group of students from Southeast Missouri State University will soon begin a Civil War Roundtable in the Cape Girardeau area. The roundtable will begin accepting members on Oct. 31, says Nick Probstfeld, spokesman for the group. A group of students from Southeast Missouri State University will soon begin a Civil War Roundtable in the Cape Girardeau area.

The roundtable will begin accepting members on Oct. 31, says Nick Probstfeld, spokesman for the group. Membership is open to anyone in the area with an interest in the history of the war - not just Southeast students.

Dues will be $10. Activities will include speakers, lectures, discussions, field trips, book reviews, screenings of films, videos and other Civil War related materials.

The organizational meeting will be held on Sunday, Oct. 31 at The Regional History Center, 520 N. Pacific, at 7 p.m.
