Judy Nordman of Cape Girardeau helps load Christmas food baskets for needy families Tuesday morning at the Salvation Army building. The Salvation Army loaded 500 baskets in all, which included frozen chickens donated by VFW Post 3838. Nordman was part of a group from Marathon Benefits Group that volunteered for the Salvation Army instead of holding a Christmas party this year.
