ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Cool Down St. Louis says volunteers will be outside Busch Stadium gathering donations to buy air conditioners and pay electric bills for those in need.

The drive runs Friday through Sunday. About 150 people will wear yellow caps and hold red buckets to take donations two hours before each Cardinals game against Philadelphia.

Cool Down St. Louis' President Kevin McGowan encourages Missouri and Illinois residents to check on their neighbors in hot weather, particularly the elderly, disabled and families with sick infants.
