Don Gregory retired from the Southeast Missourian circulation department Friday.
Gregory, who has worked in the distribution of newspapers for more than 30 years, will continue to distribute the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
"I started in newspaper distribution in 1967," said Gregory. "I purchased distribution rights for the St. Louis Post and St. Louis Globe in the Jackson area.
Later, he acquired distribution jobs with the Post-Dispatch and Southeast Missourian in Cape Girardeau.
Throughout the years, Gregory has helped in the distribution of the Bulletin Journal and News Guardian, Cape Girardeau publications, and the Chicago Tribune and Memphis Commercial Appeal.
Until Friday, he also worked full-time in the Missourian circulation department.
"I'll continue full time with the Post-Dispatch," he said.
Gregory was honored during a reception Friday at the Missourian.
Gary Rust, president of Rust Communications, congratulated Gregory on his retirement.
Attending the reception was Gregory's wife, Shirley, who is affiliated with Capitol Hill Realty.
