A Grantberg man was hospitalized after a two-vehicle accident Saturday night on Interstate 24 in Johnson County, Ill., Illinois State Police reported. Chad B. A Grantberg man was hospitalized after a two-vehicle accident Saturday night on Interstate 24 in Johnson County, Ill., Illinois State Police reported.

Chad B. Newberry, 17, of Grantsberg, Ill., was driving a GMC Jimmy carryall and fell asleep and struck the rear of a pickup truck causing it to hit an embankment. The truck was driven by Jerrod William Walker, 21, of Goreville.

Newberry suffered no injuries.

Walker suffered a concusion and was taken to Marion Memorial Hospital. A passenger in the truck, Gregory S. McDonald, 25, of Pittsburgh, Ill., received minor injuries and was also taken to Marion Memorial Hospital.

Chad Newberry was arrested for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
