A Gordonville woman was killed in an ATV accident Friday in Butler County.
Marissa S. Hill, 20, was riding a 1992 Polaris 250 ATV driven by Mark A. Drury, 22, of Scott City at Bricks Off Road Park.
Drury apparently failed to negotiate a curve and overturned, throwing both occupants, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
Hill was taken by emergency medical responders to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead by assistant coroner Brian Fugate, the report stated.
Bricks Off Road Park hosts several events throughout the year. Last weekend's event, Trucks Gone Wild, included events such as mega truck backflip, sprint boat racing, mega truck corkscrew jump and a mud truck challenge. The park's website says it is "open to any and all types of off-road vehicles from 4-Wheelers, to dirt bikes, to dune buggies."
Friends of Hill have established a GoFundMe page to help the family cover funeral expenses. For more information, visit gofundme.com/wgu67qs?pc=14_tw_1.
