Saxony Lutheran High School will be opening its doors for its first year of school on Monday, Aug. 21 in their temporary facilities at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Giardeau, Mo., 804 Cape Rock Drive. The telephone number for Saxony Lutheran is 573-335-6635.

Jerry Deardorff, a retired public school administrator, is serving as the interim administrator. Saxony will be a college preparatory high school and will open with the freshman and sophomore classes, adding class a year in the following two years.

Saxony has purchased 40 acres of property close to the Fruitland Exit on 1-55 (Exit 105) on County Road 601. Plans are to build permanent facilities within 3-5 years at that site.

Golfers are encouraged to participate in the tournament. Saxony is also looking for Corporate Sponsors, Hole Sponsors, Flag Sponsors and Cart Sponsors, as well as businesses that are willing to contribute other special prizes.
