CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Members of Aid Association of Lutherans (AAL) Branch 7557, Cape Girardeau, have received a gold star rating by the fraternal benefit society for recognition of exemplary volunteer service to the community.
AAL's 7,600 branches are ranked in eight performance categories, with gold star the top rating. To receive the highest rating, a branch must sponsor at least one AAL fund raising or work project each year, conduct at least nine branch meetings, one educational activity and one member awareness event.
Officers of the branch are Cathleen S. Seiler, president; Lois E. Fritzler, secretary; and Beth Bliese, vice president.
AAL is headquartered in Appleton, Wis.
