The two were traveling on Highway 34 near Glen Allen, the patrol said, when the accident occurred at 1:25 a.m.

The patrol said Fox apparently lost control of the truck, causing it to run off the road, strike a tree and overturn. The two were trapped in the truck for some time before rescue workers were able to extricate them, the spokesperson added.

Beck's body was taken to Liley Funeral Home in Lutesville.

Police said the two women were not wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, but added that Missouri law does not require seat belts to be worn in trucks.
